Seems like there are smoothie bars everywhere these days, but it’s not so easy to know what all the hype is when you don’t know the difference between a smoothie and a frappe.

Chai:
rich creamers and honey are combined with spices, such as cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and cloves and are then added to the finest black teas

Cocoa: a chocolate-based drink prepared with milk or water; served hot

Frappe: a blended coffee drink; can be enhanced with flavored syrups

Italian Soda: soda prepared with a flavored syrup, seltzer and cream

Mexican Spiced Cocoa: cocoa prepared with Mexican chocolate and enhanced with cinnamon

Mocha: a latte prepared with chocolate syrup; served hot, usually topped with whipped cream

Syrups & Sauces: flavored concentrates used to enhance beverages and prepare specialty drinks; can also be used in food recipes

Smoothie: a blended drink prepared with fruit; supplements are usually available

Supplements: any number of powders to be added to boost a smoothie, from protein to bee pollen
